Description
Marymount School of New York is seeking an experienced physics teacher to join our Upper School faculty. We seek joyful educators who are eager to collaborate with colleagues, model lifelong learning, show passion for innovative teaching, and make a commitment to meeting the needs and aspirations of each student. Teaching responsibilities include four course sections of science, including Physics, Advanced Physics and other science courses depending on the expertise of the candidate and needs of the department. Marymount faculty are active participants in the school community, supporting students as advisors and club moderators, and taking an active role in school programs.
Requirements
Master’s degree or higher in a related field and/or the teaching of science
- Minimum of 2 years teaching physics at the high school level
- Experience teaching science electives is a plus
- Excellent laboratory skills
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills
- Commitment to equity and belonging in teaching practices
- Ability to differentiate and vary instructional methods
Salary range: $90,000-110,000 annually
