Description
Marymount School seeks an experienced religious studies teacher to join our faculty for the 2025-26 school year. While Hebrew and Christian Scripture is a primary teaching focus, ideal candidates will be capable of teaching a range of Upper School courses including World Religions, Social Justice, and Ethics. All religious studies faculty support Marymount’s campus ministry and sacramental formation programs and help prepare our students to take on leadership roles in liturgies, retreats, and social justice initiatives. Candidates should be passionate about imparting an education grounded in Catholic Social Teaching to girls from various faith traditions. An ideal candidate is a compassionate teacher who operates within the framework of Catholic Social Teaching and who takes the initiative to address pastoral care concerns. Proficiency with technology and a flexible mindset are essential. All Upper School faculty serve as advisors to a small group of students and moderate at least one student club or activity.
Requirements
Master’s degree in theology, divinity, or equivalent (with solid basis in Hebrew and Christian Scriptures)
- Experience teaching religious studies (Upper School preferred)
- Commitment to equity in teaching practices
- Ability to differentiate and vary instructional methods
Salary range: $85,000-105,000 annually
