Description
Marymount School of New York seeks a dynamic, flexible, and collaborative mathematics teacher to join our team. We welcome applicants with a genuine passion for mathematics and a good sense of humor. Teaching responsibilities include four sections of Upper School mathematics, from Algebra through AP Calculus BC. Collaboration with fellow teachers and an interest in curriculum design and development are essential. As Marymount values innovation and inter-disciplinary thinking, candidates should be open to exploring applications of math in the fields of science, computing, and engineering. Full-time Upper School teachers also serve as academic advisors to a small group of students and usually moderate at least one student club or activity.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mathematics or in the teaching of mathematics or related field
- Experience teaching high school mathematics
- Commitment to equity and belonging in teaching practices
- Ability to differentiate and vary instructional methods
Salary range: $85,000-105,000 annually
