• When is Marymount Summer in session?


    Marymount Summer runs for five weeks from June 24 - July 26, 2024.

    Week 1: June 24 - June 28

    Week 2: July 1 - July 3 **

    Week 3: July 8 - July 12

    Week 4: July 15 - July 19

    Week 5: July 22 - July 26

    **Please note camp will be closed July 4-5 in observance of Independence Day

  • Is there a weekly enrollment requirement?


    STEAM camps and day camps (World Explorers, Drama Juniors, and Inventors & Explorers) do not have a weekly requirement. Our drama camps have specific enrollment requirements as they culminate in a fully realized musical theater performance. Drama 1 and 2 have a three-week enrollment requirement (weeks 3, 4, and 5) and Advanced Drama has a four-week enrollment requirement (weeks 2, 3, 4, and 5). Auditions will be held during the first week of camp and the final performances will take place during the last week of camp. If the camper is not in attendance week 1, they may arrange an audition time with the directors or submit a self tape. More information will be provided upon enrollment.

  • How much does camp cost?


    The weekly rate is: $1,200

    • 2 Weeks: $1900 ($250 discount per week)
    • 3 Weeks: $2850 ($250 discount per week)
    • 4 Weeks: $3800 ($250 discount per week)
    • 5 Weeks: $4500 ($300 discount per week)
    • Attending 1-3 weeks of camp, the July 4 week will be discounted an additional $240. 

    World Explorers Camp offers a half-day program for our youngest campers. Rates are as follows:

    • 1 Week: $750
    • 2 Weeks: $1200 ($150 discount per week)
    • 3 Weeks: $1800 ($150 discount per week)
    • 4 Weeks: $2400 ($150 discount per week)
    • 5 Weeks: $2850 ($180 discount per week)

    The sports clinic for Marymount students is $825 for 1 week or $1485 for 2 weeks.

    We do not provide additional prorated options or single-day sign-ups. We do offer financial aid, which can be applied for during the registration process.

  • What are the drop-off and pick-up times for the camp?


    Drop off begins each day at 8:30 a.m for all camps, and the camp programming begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. There is no after camp program or early drop-off option.

    We offer staggered dismissal times:

    12:30 p.m. World Explorers Day Camp

    2:30 p.m. Extended day Option

    2:45 p.m. Drama Juniors and Inventors & Explorers

    3:00 p.m. Marymount Sports Clinic

    3:00 p.m. STEAM Camp and Drama Camp

    3:30 p.m. Advanced Drama Camp

    Please be punctual at these times. Campers will only be dismissed to adults listed on the designated dismissal form as part of the registration process. Campers allowed to go home alone must be given permission on the camp portal. If you have a change in your dismissal plan for your child, you must notify the camp office by noon that day by emailing summercamp@marymountnyc.org or calling the office at 212-744-4486 x8341.

  • What if my child will be absent?


    All campers must be accounted for each day. If you have a planned absence, please notify the camp office as soon as possible by emailing summercamp@marymountnyc.org. If your child is sick, email the nurse at bbode@marymountnyc.org. If a camper does not come to camp and the camp office has not been notified, we will call you.

  • Where is Marymount Summer located?


    All camps are located at 1026 Fifth Avenue on the corner of 84th Street.

  • What should my child wear to camp?


    Comfortable play clothes suitable for movement and sports are required. Shorts, pants, and t-shirts are suggested. Campers should bring a sweatshirt to camp every day, as our rooms are air-conditioned. For children in World Explorers, Drama Juniors, and Inventors & Explorers, please pack a change of clothing, labeled with your child’s name, to keep at camp.

  • Are there specific footwear requirements?


    Sneakers are required for camp. Campers participate in many sports and movement activities. If your child chooses to wear sandals to camp, a pair of sneakers must also be brought in for sports and dance activities.

  • Is lunch provided?


    Lunch is not provided; however, we do offer a healthy morning and afternoon snack every day. Campers are required to bring in their own lunch and a drink. Refrigeration is provided at camp. Please pack lunches in paper bags or lunch coolers and put the child’s name on each bag. Marymount Summer Camp is a “nut sensitive” environment. As we have several campers with food allergies, no peanut or tree nut products are allowed at camp.

  • Do campers need sunscreen for outdoor activities?


    Campers participate in outdoor activities every day. Please put sunscreen on your child every morning before camp. Please also pack additional sunscreen with your child’s belongings for re-application during the day.

  • Are there field trips?


    Yes! We have weekly field trips for all of our camp groups that are program specific. Recently, our STEAM campers have visited the Natural History Museum, Liberty Science Center, New York Hall of Science, Bronx Botanical Gardens, and both the Central Park Zoo and Bronx Zoo. Our drama campers have visited The Met Museum, the Museum of Broadway, and musicals such as Aladdin, Wicked, The Lion King, and Spongebob the Musical. If the field trip is not within walking distance, all transportation will be provided by our private bus service.

  • Is the camp open on Independence Day?


    No, camp will not be in session on July 4 and 5 in observance of Independence Day.
