Note that at Marymount, each family in Classes I – IX is obligated to walk Safety Patrol just once a year. Families are randomly selected and assigned a date and a walking partner from within the same grade level. If you have not been assigned a date to walk, do not worry! There are sometimes more names than walking days, but you may be called upon to fill in for someone in an emergency.
Only one parent from each selected family has to walk. No substitution such as nannies or extended family members is allowed. If the date assigned to you does not work, you are responsible to find a replacement by swapping a date with another person and informing us of the change. It is a good idea to call and remind your walking partner a day or two in advance of your walk date.
