The Marymount Singers’ annual concert tour this spring took the choir to Spain. After arriving in Madrid on March 22, the students, accompanied by Music Department Chair, Mario Dell’Olio, and other faculty, traveled to Seville where they spent a few days exploring this vibrant city known for flamenco dancing, bull fighting, and its rich history of Spanish royalty. After singing their first concert, the group traveled south to Cordoba and then onto Granada where they visited the Alhambra Palace and Generalife, relishing in the beautiful Moorish architecture and stunning gardens. A highlight of the tour was the Singers’ concert performance with the Granada Youth Symphony. For the last day of trip, the group returned to Madrid, visiting the capital city and enjoying a celebratory dinner with flamenco entertainment. Bravo to the Singers!
