This winter the members of Marymout’s Knitting Brigade, moderated by chair of the world languages department Christine Tesson, have outdone themselves in both knitting talent and commitment to service. Thanks to their hard work and generosity, twenty-six people people who would otherwise have had little protection against the season’s biting cold now have wool hats to wear: at the end of their most recent knitting project, Ms. Tesson, delivered the final products to the charity CHIPS (Christian Help in Park Slope), where they were met with great appreciation as beautiful defenses against the frigid weather!
Nor are the knitters stopping there: with sixteen more newly created hats, the Brigade is continuing in its laudable mission to provide warm and bright headgear for as many cold New Yorkers as possible!
