INTRODUCTION TO ANCIENT GREEK I, II
This sequence provides an introduction to ancient Greek language and culture. Students learn the basic vocabulary, forms, and grammar of Greek by reading a series of stories about an Athenian family and short selections from ancient authors. They also study the importance of Greek for English vocabulary. In addition to the focus on language, the course introduces students to the religion, myths, literature, and history of ancient Greece.
