| Marymount faculty and staff are committed to the mission of the School; they recognize the collaborative roles of parents, students, staff, trustees, and alumnae in building community. Marymount teachers put the children first and encourage each student to develop to her full potential. It’s not uncommon to see a teacher working one-on-one with a student to revise an essay, brainstorm solutions to a challenging problem, or assess how to approach a class project.
Marymount teachers are specialists in their particular field, and most hold advanced degrees. Teachers are also class advisors, moderators of extracurricular activities, and coaches. They serve on school committees and participate in regular professional development. Marymount welcomes diversity among its faculty and staff to foster cultural sensitivity, religious understanding, and a global perspective. |
